Meet Jeff

I’m Jeffery Driscoll, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and certified teacher and yoga instructor. For over two decades, I have been helping men, adolescents, and children from all backgrounds find maximal life meaning through work in the social services and wellness arena. As a member of the LBGT community and therapist of refugees and those who have faced childhood sexual abuse, I have seen the importance of helping men from all backgrounds feel authentically heard and empowered.

How I Can Support You

With over twenty years of experience as an educator and instructor, I have seen individuals struggle across the lifespan and have found ways to help them find accommodations to move forward to their maximal potential in school, work, and relationships. I have combined this knowledge with my lived experience, Yoga training, and education to create unique and integrated therapy for each client.

As a member of the LBGT community, I have seen first hand the effects of systemic oppression on views of self others and the world, and can help you identify blocks that keep you from moving forward in life. With extensive experience working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, I am committed to empowering you to find your own unique value systems and drive yourself towards the achievement of your goals through awareness and mindfulness.

As a prior amateur Muay Thai enthusiast, I have grappled with weight-related issues in the sports world. Additionally, I have observed the unique set of barriers being a member of the LGBT community face, and how these barriers can lead to a need to exert control and power in ways that do not drive us to our maximum potentials. Coming from a place of empathy for adapting to survive, I can help you process the past and mobilize you to a more meaningful present.

Why Work With Me

I respect that each of us has our own way of finding and creating subjective well-being in life, and I help you to find your own unique way forward. This is created through empowerment and exploration of the trauma of the past or present that inhibits movement forward. I also help you identify relationship patterns that may prevent movement and help you discover new ways of being in the world through reflection and compassion work.

Therapy & Counselling Services For Men

Types of Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you develop psychological flexibility by teaching you to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or fighting them. If you struggle with anxiety, stress, or self-doubt, ACT guides you in recognizing unhelpful patterns and shifting your focus toward actions that align with your values. Through mindfulness, cognitive defusion, and committed action, you learn to engage fully in the present moment and build a more meaningful life. This approach empowers you to respond to challenges with openness and resilience, improving overall well-being.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, or negative self-talk, CBT teaches you practical strategies to challenge distorted thinking and develop healthier coping skills. By learning to reframe thoughts and take constructive actions, you can break free from cycles of stress and self-doubt. This evidence-based approach empowers you to manage emotions more effectively, build resilience, and create lasting positive change in your life.

  • Attachment-Based Therapy helps you explore how early relationships and past experiences shape your emotional well-being and connections with others. If you struggle with trust, intimacy, or feeling secure in relationships, this approach helps you understand and heal attachment wounds. By fostering a sense of safety and emotional connection, you can develop healthier relationship patterns and a stronger sense of self. Through a compassionate and supportive therapeutic process, you learn to build deeper, more fulfilling relationships while improving your overall mental well-being.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy helps you explore unconscious patterns, past experiences, and deep-seated emotions that influence your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. If you struggle with recurring life challenges, emotional distress, or unresolved conflicts, this approach guides you in gaining self-awareness and understanding the root causes of your struggles. By working through these insights in a supportive therapeutic space, you can develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. This process fosters emotional growth, self-acceptance, and long-term positive change.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps you understand and reshape the emotional patterns that impact your relationships. If you struggle with conflict, disconnection, or difficulty expressing emotions, EFT provides a structured approach to building deeper emotional bonds. By identifying negative cycles and fostering secure attachment, this therapy strengthens trust, communication, and intimacy. Through guided emotional experiences, you learn to express your needs more openly and respond to others with greater empathy, creating lasting, meaningful connections.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps you develop skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience. If you struggle with emotional regulation, impulsivity, or distress tolerance, DBT provides practical strategies through four core areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. By balancing acceptance and change, this approach empowers you to navigate challenges with greater stability and self-compassion. DBT fosters a sense of control over your emotions and behaviors, helping you create a more fulfilling and balanced life.
