Job Description
Uplift Therapy for Men is seeking to hire motivated therapists to join our team. The therapist will be responsible for providing individual, couples, family and/or group therapy to men of all ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with men's mental health issues and/or a passion for helping men and their partners to achieve their full potential.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Virtual Psychotherapist/Social Worker to join our innovative team. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide virtual therapeutic support to men/couples in Ontario, contributing to their mental health and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Conduct virtual individual therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Provide virtual support and psycho-education to clients on mental health topics.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in virtual team meetings and case consultations.
Stay informed about advancements in the field of virtual therapy and incorporate best practices into service delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum Masters Degree in Psychotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, Spiritual Care, Marriage & Family Therapy or equivalent in the related field
Membership with the appropriate governing body (CRPO, OCSWSSW)
Training in evidence-based modalities (ACT, CBT, CFT, DBT, SFBT and more)
Excellent report and clinical record-keeping writing skills
Experience working as part of a team and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a virtual team
Experience with facilitating groups (not mandatory but good to have)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a virtual environment
Fluency in a second language an asset (not required)
Specialty: Trauma (EMDR, Brain Spotting, IFS, and/or Somatic), Couples/Families (EFT, Gottman), ADHD, Mindfulness (Assets)
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines
Must provide proof of own liability insurance and/or own supervision (if needed)
Priority will be given to those who can work with couples/families
Requirements
Proficient in using virtual communication platforms for remote therapy sessions.
Flexibility to work virtual hours, including evenings and weekends.
Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations.
Benefits:
Flexible schedule (you choose your own hours) but able to commit to at least 2-3 days per week
